Point Grey Research® Inc. is looking to hire a self-motivated and detail-oriented SAP FICO Analyst. As a member of the SAP implementation team this position provides senior level SAP expertise and application configuration and implementation support for the financial and controlling functional areas.

General Duties and Tasks

• Configures, supports and enhances various functional aspects of the SAP system landscape including troubleshooting of application problems, performing system configuration, analysis of business requirements and their translations into SAP specific context
• Develops requirements, business specifications, and testing documents. Performs unit testing in development and quality assurance and recommends test scenarios
• Manages daily issues and problem solving related to FICO modules
• Recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements, communicates change to related areas
• Maintains business and technical knowledge of SAP functional areas for current and upcoming technological advancements
• Researches and recommends enhancements of SAP functional areas. Develops new techniques and innovative approaches to enhance system functionality and automate business processes. Assists in the execution of system processes to support interfaces, reporting requirements and year-end reporting
• Provides advice and guidance on the use of systems, troubleshoots issues, debugs programs, features and functions
• Ensures internal controls and standards are maintained

Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge and experience in financial controlling, product costing, including product costing estimates, product cost updates and product cost variance analysis
• Demonstrated ability to blueprint and realize requirements based on complex processes
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Business or MIS
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with architecting and designing infrastructure for SAP systems
• Ability to effectively view and explain issues and resolutions from an end-user and business perspective

Preferred

• SAP certification is a strong asset
• Experience with at least three full SAP life cycle implementations
